ASFE event at the Paris Motor Show, October 2006
ASFE held an event on synthetic fuels during the Paris Motor Shows in October 2006. In his opening remarks, Philippe Guillard, Deputy-Director of DIREM (Directorate for Energy & Mineral Resources), French Ministry of Industry gave an overview of the existing energy and transportation regulatory frameworks in France and addressed challenges posed to regulators when dealing with energy, transportation and environmental issues.
Throughout the conference’s keynote talks and subsequent Q&A session, ASFE members presented their views on synthetic fuels and stated their shared commitment to reducing the environmental impact of road transport through improved engine technology and cleaner fuels.
