By 2015 synthetic fuels production via GTL process is expected to approach 80,000 barrels per day or more than 4 million tonnes per year. There are operating plants in Malaysia and Qatar, with a further world scale plant under construction in Qatar. By 2011, the production of NexBTL will reach 2 million metric tonnes.
